More than 1,500 visitors from 45 countries and 450 exhibitors with an export portfolio of more than  1,600 varieties, will participate from Wednesday in Bogota in Proflora 2011, the most important fair of fresh cut flowers in the world, according to the organizers.

The event, organized by the Colombian Association of Flower Exporters (Asocolflores), will run until next Friday at the Corferias facilities.  A business conference will also be held.

According to Asocolflores Proflora fair, held every two years, will participate 85 international buyers from 24 nations. This includes about 800 business appointments with 75 Colombian exporters, said Asocolflores.
